WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

  1. Reach out to your Black Friends.

  2. Reach out to your White Friends.

  3. Take yourself out the center

  4. You are not the savior.

  6. Spend time mourning. 

  7. Spend time fighting. 

  8. Spend time writing.

  10. But don’t stop there. 

  11. Donate if you can.

  12. Show up offline. 

  13. Tell your story.

  14. Tell your neighbors story.

  15. Replace “I can’t believe it” with “I did my research and…”

  16. Ask the hard questions

  17. But not to the people who need time to grieve.

  18. Grieve.

  19. Be the voice

  20. but not when it erases the work.

  21. Listen. 

  22. Sit down. 

  23. Stand up.

  24. Film the police.

  25. Acknowledge that not all cops are BAD COPS.

  26. Acknowledge that all cops are working within an oppressive system.

  27. Acknowledge you’re addicted to white supremecy.

  32. Hold yourself accountable.

And another thing. When you don’t know what to do, ask yourself why? What system has hypnotized you to believe that you hold no power to make a change? Make yourself the answer to the problems you see. What does your community need TODAY? Start with that. Start there. Start with not knowing. Now work to get to knowing.
